Our BeersWe're pretty excited here at Briggs Signature Ales - it won't be too long until our next beer will be available; Mash Up 2.

The beautiful county of Yorkshire Truly is the home of old meets new. From her oldest and most famous traditions to her glittering industrial and financial institutions Gods county mixes the ancient and the innovative like a great brewer mixes hops and barley. Our latest signature ale Neoclassical is no different.
This session strength, green hopped black IPA is the darkest of dark chocolate in colour with a rich mocha head. Slight roasted aroma with punchy citrus fruits. Full mouth feel with lime, lemon and orange flavours and a certain dryness from the choice dark malts used. Very drinkable fruity hop finish.

We waste nothing in Yorkshire and at the moment when times are hard and friends are few you have to mend and make do. Mash up is made in that spirit, brewed with hops left over from previous Signature Ales.
But don't think for a moment this beer hasn't been given the care and attention it deserves! Vibrant orange ale with a zesty fruit aroma from fresh green hops. Full, smooth mouth feel with punchy fruity flavours of citrus and mango and a clean, crisp dry finish.

Rhapsody #2 is a one off festival special commissioned for Huddersfield CAMRA Oktoberfest. It is a pleasure to say that our beer received the gold award in the bitters category as well as scooping the prestige's Charlie award for beer of the festival.
Briggs Signature ale would like to thank the Huddersfield Branch for the honour and say a big thank you to everyone who voted for us! |
Do you have WiFi? What's the password? Is it free or on a tariff? Technology has, without doubt changed our lives for the better, but when your head is stuck in a phone or tablet in the pub sometimes we wish for a simpler world.
Do you have WiFi? No, talk to people and drink beer! Techno is a full bodied vibrant orange ale. Aromas of pine and lemon with a distinct red berry flavour. Finished with a refreshing, balanced bitterness.

Not everything in God’s county is about tradition, we like to mix it up and surprise now and again.
Hip Hop does just that, a full on mid Atlantic pale ale to keep us down with the kids! This beer is a hop gangster! Uncompromising on flavour it is brewed with kilos of Citra and Cascade hops. Vibrantly golden with a huge aroma of zesty lemon and ripe mango. Tropical fruit flavour with a crisp, clean bitter finish.

Yorkshire Folk are made of strong stuff. Forged in the furnaces of the North, brought up on fire and brimstone and educated in coal fields.
All this makes us metal. Cask aged for a rich, complex flavour; this well hopped porter is jet black with a thick cream head. Slight roasted aroma with fresh fruit and hops dominating. Full bodied rich flavour with a dry, hoppy, moreish finish. Only available in bottles.

A Yorkshireman is often seen as the underdog, but whether it be our many world class sports men and women, our fantastic food produce or our award winning beers, a Tyke will always grin when he fights.
Light is just the same, low on ABV, but when it comes to flavour and body she comes out of the corner swinging! A Pure Light Ale with intense aroma of lemon and sea buckthorn. Fruity/lemony flavour with a refreshingly bitter finish.

You will seldom find a more varied landscape in the world than in Yorkshire. From her glimmering Cities to her most idyllic Hamlets, her breathtaking coastlines to her rolling hills.
All of God's County is pretty Rock and Roll! Vibrant garnet red in colour, heavily hopped with Simcoe and Cascade to give a massive fruity flavour and aroma. Full bodied with a long, crisp, bitter finish.

Symphony #1 was commissioned specially for the The Star Inn at Folly Hall's prestigious Spring Beer Festival.
Of the 46 beers available Symphony #1 was the first to run off, therefore being crowned festival champion! Although the beer was intended as a one off special, its success has left people calling for a full brew length of Briggs Signature Ales first award winning beer to be brewed. |
We Yorkshire men are famous for our deep pockets. We don't like letting go of our brass.
But we're a generous sort and we will spend our hard earned brass on essentials like a pint of good ale! A vibrant Golden ale with an intense grapefruit aroma from
Nelson Sauvin hops. Punchy fruit flavour and a long dry finish.

Up here in West Yorkshire, sparks can fly when opinions clash.
Northern Soul captures the spirit of two Yorkshire men having a heated debate over a pint of ale. After all, this is Northern Soul. Northern Soul is pale in colour, with a citrus flavour and zesty aroma from an abundance of American hops.
