Head Brewer's Biography

Nick Briggs started his working life as a carpenter, and after a successful career in the building industry Nick began to develop a passion for Real Ale.

After experimenting with home brewing (in his sister's shed) Nick realised he was born to brew. He downed his tools and took up a position as assistant brewer at Elland Brewery.

As Nick's skills grew he was made joint head brewer in 2011.

After three years and several awards, including national recognition from CAMRA and SIBA, Nick left Elland Brewery and moved on to Mallinsons Brewing Company.

Now Nick has embarked upon the ultimate dream; his own brewing company, Briggs Signature Ales.
